Make Love Story

With a 62% divorce rate in America, authors Leslie Kaplan and Peg Melnik have defied the odds. After a decade of marriage and children they reveal practical, humorous tips that work for them. These moms are not therapists, but they have honorary Ph.D.s in keeping romance alive.

Leslie Mancillas, M.A. teaches English for the Santa Rosa Junior College and the Education Department of Sonoma State University. Leslie is a writer and avid new blogger. She got married in 1989 and began having kids in 1990. She’s still madly in love with her husband which she credits to putting her marriage first on the list of priorities.

Peg Melnik, M.A. is the co-author of "The Napa & Sonoma Book," and is a veteran columnist and blogger with the New York Times-owned Press Democrat, the premiere newspaper in Sonoma County. She has been happily married since 1986 and she's an unabashed romantic with two angelic yet spirited kids.

Certain that they would encourage others, these two best friends teamed up to create this book and start the conversation to inspire the lover in all of us. So tune-in and turn-on. The book is based on real life experiences, so read and enjoy. Read and re-connect with your beloved.
